The Breast Place is excited to announce its move to a new, larger North Charleston facility at 4975 Lacross Road, Suite 110, on July 2, 2018.
In addition to a more central location than its present North Charleston address - 2910 Tricom St, #201 - the new Lacross Road facility will see the addition of four exam rooms to allow for even faster, more comprehensive care. The facility continues to offer same-day appointments for patients who've received recent diagnoses or are simply concerned by a recent change in their breast health or abnormal mammogram.
"Our new location will allow even more women access to services for prevention, detection, and treatment of breast cancer," said Dr. Jennifer Beatty, who founded The Breast Place in October 2011. "Being independent and privately-owned, we are able to offer options tailored to the needs of each unique individual."
The center, which serves as South Carolina's only female-founded breast health facility, is led by Dr. Beatty and co-owner, Dr. Jennifer Fiorini, and offers a comprehensive site for counseling, diagnostics, and treatment, where it has served over 8000 women in the greater Charleston area, including North Charleston, West Ashley, and Mount Pleasant.
"We believe in listening to women and empowering them to make sound, fully-informed decisions about their breast health," said Dr. Fiorini. "We see each patient as a mother, sister, and friend."
Because breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women - one in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer - Drs. Beatty and Fiorini stress the importance of breast health.
"There are more than 3.3 million breast cancer survivors alive in the United States today," Dr. Beatty said. "Until a cure is found, we want to keep the number of survivors growing."
